British singing super-sensation Adele has never had any issues with her weight, in fact she is proud of her curvy figure and has says she is proud of the fact that she represents the majority of the population. According to Adele, her weight has absolutely nothing to do with her career or her voice, and there is no reason to change something she is proud of; something that makes her who she is.
Even so, she has emerged from having throat surgery much slimmer, and that has left everyone wondering what really is the secret behind the Adele weight loss.
Before Weight LossAdele was rumored to be a size 16 before the weight came off. And she was perfectly content with that, having no desire to be a skinny model-type at all. And the rest of the world was also okay with that. She graced the cover of the U.K. edition of Vogue magazine, although it was cropped to show only her face. And she is also set to be on the cover of the spring U.S. edition, one of the two most important issues in the year. They have 16 outfits planned for her to wear, so hopefully they will be showcasing her curves much more effectively than the U.K. Vogue did.
However, not all members of the fashion world are as thrilled about Adele’s curves. Karl Lagerfield, the head designer for Chanel, has said that Adele is too fat, but he does admire her voice and her pretty face. Of course, that was before Adele’s throat surgery. Lagerfield has received a lot of criticism for his outspoken opinion, and a lot of people are calling him a hater, plain and simple. Adele herself, though, never replied to comments.
After Weight LossAdele had throat surgery for a hemorrhage in her vocal chords and was out of the public eye for quite some time. When she reemerged, it was with a much slimmer figure. Adele weight loss was especially noticeable in her face, with a more angular appearance and more pronounced chin. No one is saying whether the weight loss is from any sort of surgery or if it is simply because she could not eat for over a month. Some sources say that she kept her dressing rooms and tour busses stocked with all kinds of different foods. Not being able to eat normally for over a month can definitely take its toll on a waist-line. Surprisingly, many people have objected over the weight loss, saying her chin is too angular and she was prettier before.
As her performance at the Grammy Awards clearly demonstrated, the surgery was a success and the weight clearly did not have anything to do with her ability to sing. She sang beautifully at the Grammy Awards, but she sang just as beautifully before the mysterious Adele weight loss. And the man she is with now loved her before she lost any weight, and he loves her after. So clearly, in Adele’s life, weight truly is not an issue and probably never will be.
